Book a Session

Photography sessions are based around the North East of England (mostly County Durham and Northumberland). The landscape is beautiful and we have many options for woodlands, riverside and coastal shoot locations! Sessions are held on weekends and mid-week evenings - the best time of day is in the lead-up to sunset (called “Golden Hour”).

I offer three tiers of session: The Wander, The Roam and The Adventure - differentiated by the length of session, number of final photos and potential area covered. If you would like to bring along multiple dogs and/or purchase extra images these are also available options.

The Process

When you have decided which session you’d like to book (along with any add-ons) simply fill in the booking form linked from the session page. I will get in touch with you as soon as possible so that we can organise a date, time and location! I will then send you an invoice: your session is not confirmed until I have received payment.

If you have a favourite spot I’d love to hear it, otherwise I have my own favourites! Whether you want woodland shots, action shots in water or golden hour portraits in the heather I can advise on great locations. The more information you can give me about your dog and the kind of pictures you’d like, the better I can match the location.

During the session we will explore the area, set up posed portrait shots, action shots and/or candid pictures as we wander around. The sessions will be at you and your dog’s pace, and will not be rushed or pressurised. The more relaxed your dog feels, the better the pictures will be!

I will lightly edit the pictures and then send you a proofing gallery. From these shots you can pick your favourites - these are the ones I will edit to a high standard and share with you. You will receive the full, high resolution images which you can do whatever you want with. They will be perfect for printing and displaying at home or sharing on social media.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It doesn’t matter if your dog has to be on lead - it can be incorporated into the pictures (especially if you have a favourite!), strategically hidden and/or edited out.

Their safety is the most important - to be off lead they must have a strong recall and desire to stay close (I can’t take pictures of a dog who isn’t there).

  • I will make a call based on the forecast and location. Rain can cause many issues; especially as some dogs don’t like to be out in it, or may squint their eyes!

For rain or any other extreme weather we will simply re-schedule the shoot.

  • No, I will require you to come along on the session with your dog! I will be busy working the camera and it is your responsibility to keep your dog under control - but also to make sure they are happy!

  • If your dog is nervous around new people I will always respect their space. I will not need to be close to them for the pictures - I will not be leaning over them or putting them into position.

If they are unhappy around other dogs we can make sure to pick a quiet location - one where we are unlikely to see anyone else (and I know of some options).

  • Within three days of your session you will receive the initial gallery for you to pick your favourites. Once you have done this, I will share your final pictures with you within a week.

  • Yes! If you would like a picture of you with your dog just let me know.
